The Classix six-concert series is the keystone of the Reno Philharmonic performance schedule. The Classix concert sets are performed from October to April on Sunday afternoons and Tuesday evenings at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts in Reno, Nevada. Prior to each concert, music director Laura Jackson presents a concert Preview, an informative discussion of the evening’s program that is extremely popular with our patrons.
The Reno Philharmonic Youth Orchestras will present their Fall 2016 Showcase concert on Monday, November 28 at 7:00 pm at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts.
This classic holiday celebration will play to packed houses for three shows, a matinee and evening performance on Saturday and a matinee on Sunday. The Reno Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Dr. Jason Altieri welcome special guests to kick off the season with a variety-style combination of singers, dancers, performers, Santa Tappers, Santa Claus and more!
The Reno Phil is committed to audience members no matter their height. This free concert is a perfect way to introduce young audiences to the orchestra. Don’t forget to come early for fun, hands-on pre-concert activities!
