THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

The spirit of giving takes center stage for this year’s #GivingTuesday. Help us bring music to the next generation of music lovers through your generosity.

The Reno Phil aspires to offer free concerts for our youth, providing them with access to the enriching experience of live classical music through our Young People’s Concerts which take place twice a year, in the Spring and Fall. This last year, we performed for more than 8,000 elementary aged students in our community at no cost to the students. But we can’t do these concerts without your support!

We have received a matching gift of up to $10,000 from Bill Pearce Motors to support these concerts - which means that if you give during Giving Tuesday, your gift will be doubled! Your donation, no matter the size, plays a vital role in sustaining our mission and initiatives.

Together, let's make Giving Tuesday a day of resonance and generosity. Your donation is not just a financial contribution; it's an investment in the betterment of our community and the world.

Thank you for considering the gift of music for the next generation.

Special thank you to Bill Pearce Motors for their generous match!

WHAT ARE THE YOUNG PEOPLE’S CONCERTS?

The Reno Philharmonic, in partnership with the Washoe County School District, presents Young People’s Concerts (YPCs) for over 8,000 third, fourth and fifth-grade students every year. Most attendees are students from the Washoe County School District who travel by bus to the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. Students from other districts, private schools, and home schools are also welcome to attend.

This concert experience is intended to provide young listeners (age 7-12) with an enjoyable introduction to symphonic music, enhance live music appreciation, and hopefully inspire them to become musicians themselves. The Reno Phil strives to make the concerts an interactive learning experience for students.

Two sets of YPCs are performed each season: four concerts in the Fall, and four in the Spring. For more information, please click here.
