PLAY & SING for a day

Play and Sing for a Day is a creative outlet for musicians of all levels and ages in our community. Through small and large group rehearsals, people will get a chance to interact, connect, and experience a day of making  music together with Reno Phil musicians and chorus conducted by Laura Jackson.

This event is presented free to the community thanks to a generous grant from the City of Reno Arts & Culture Commission and sponsors Chris & Parky May and Charlotte & Dick McConnell.

Here’s what to do next!

  • Save the date! April 27th at Billinghurst Middle School.

  • You will receive a confirmation email containing links to the registration form and the music you will need.

  • Fill out the registration form by March 15, 2025.

If multiple members of the same family are attending:

  • Fill out the initial sign up and emailed registration form individually for each person attending.

Cost: Free with suggested donation of $25 to cover cost of t-shirts

This event is free and open to ALL musicians in our community regardless of age or experience. Musicians must provide their own instrument. All participants must be able to read sheet music.

Recommended Experience Levels

  • Professional - You get paid to play/sing

  • Advanced - College playing/singing experience/extensive community playing/singing experience

  • Intermediate - High School playing/singing experience

  • Beginner - New to playing/singing or its been a while
