RENO PHIL’S FREE FAMILY CONCERT THIS SUNDAY AT BARTLEY RANCH & ROBERT Z. HAWKINS AMPHITHEATER

RENO, Nev. (September 30, 2021)– Join the Reno Phil for a free family concert that tells the story of four quarreling families, who ultimately come together through the power of music. It is interactive, inspirational, and fun for all. The FREE family concert is on Sunday, October 3 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater inside Bartley Ranch.

“We love bringing families together with our performances each season and this is the first time we have been able to do this since September of 2019,” said Tim Young, Reno Phil President & CEO. “The kids get really excited about seeing the music come to life and we get excited to see children experiencing symphonic music for the first time!”

The concert has a storytelling element to capture the attention of children. After fighting for as long as anyone could remember, four families come together through the power of music in The Harmony Games. This educational performance introduces young concertgoers to the families and instruments that comprise the orchestra, while demonstrating numerous ways in which math and music are related.

This free concert would not be possible without the generous support of: The Nell J. Redfield Foundation, Sara & Leonard Lafrance, Judi & Michael Henry, Chris & Parky May, and Gigi & Lash Turville. Local businesses that will be partnering with the Reno Phil for kid-friendly activities include: Discovery Museum, Arts for All Nevada, Absolute Music, Blue Note B’s Horn Shop, Nevada Museum of Art, and PBS Kids.
