Sherrin has been a practicing Certified Public Accountant since 1990, following her graduation from Hillsdale College. She began her career at Touche Ross (now Deloitte & Touche) in Detroit and Ann Arbor, MI, where she gained experience in audit and taxation across industries including manufacturing, real estate, non-profits, and advertising.

Driven by a passion to serve small, family-owned businesses, Sherrin transitioned to smaller firms in Ohio and California, ultimately co-founding Fielder & Sonnenberg, LLP in 1999. This partnership allowed her to build a trusted advisory practice with a focus on restaurants, real estate, and homeowners associations. She later moved her practice to Truckee, CA, and in 2024, relocated to Reno, NV.

Sherrin integrates large-firm resources with personalized service and maintains strong professional networks to deliver high-level, affordable accounting support. She is licensed in California, Nevada, Michigan, Ohio, and Hawaii, and is a member of AICPA and CALCPA. She is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with expertise in financial fraud prevention and investigation.

Active in her community, Sherrin has served on boards including Sierra Planned Giving Council, Tahoe Women’s Services, and North Tahoe Arts, as well as oversight committees for healthcare and regional arts initiatives.
