“I am so excited to see this tradition live on for another year in the community,” said David Hyslop, Interim President & CEO of the Reno Phil. “The magic that comes from our Spirit of the Season shows is something that has the power to truly brighten your holiday season.”

Whitney Claire Kaufman, our featured soloist of the evening, made her symphony debut at the age of 7, singing in the west coast premiere of music from John Williams “Home Alone”. Since then, she has gone on to perform with multiple orchestras across the globe, most notably the London Symphony Orchestra.

Joining Kaufman on stage will be the Tintabulations, The Santa Tappers, and Cyrus Luciano. The Tintabulations are a handbell ensemble from the community who have been performing for over two decades. The Santa Tappers, a part of Fascinating Rhythm, have been performing in the Reno Phil’s Spirit of the Season show since 2004. Cyrus Luciano, a movement artist and coach, is the owner of Acro Enso, a circus arts facility in the community.

“I am excited to bring holiday cheer to the community for another year,” said Jason Altieri, Associate Conductor of the Reno Phil. “I hear all year how much people look forward to this concert, it is an honor to be able to conduct a tradition for so many in the community.”

This concert and showcase would not be possible without our generous sponsors of the event. Thank you to Greater Nevada Credit Union, Starsound Audio, Edna B. & Bruno Benna Foundation, Bergdahl Associates, Sandy Raffealli/Bill Pearce Motors, Heather Williams, John T. Drakulich Farmers Insurance, Judi & Michael Henry, Jackie & Steve Kane Trust, A Friend of the Reno Phil, and Robert L. Seale & Judith F. Simpson for their support of this concert.
