INTERIM CEO ANNOUNCED, DAVID HYSLOP JOINS THE RENO PHIL

Reno, Nev. (August 25, 2023) — The Reno Phil is excited to announce performing arts consultant, David Hyslop, as its interim President and CEO. Hyslop will work directly with the board and staff as the Reno Phil prepares to launch the 55th season of its Classix series.

With a career spanning over five decades, David Hyslop brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position. His extensive background in the performing arts industry includes distinguished CEO appointments at some of the nation's most renowned symphonies. Notably, he has held leadership roles at the Saint Louis Symphony, Oregon Symphony, and Minnesota Orchestra, leaving an indelible mark on each institution's legacy.

“It is with great pleasure that I look forward to working with the Reno Philharmonic,” said David Hyslop, Interim President & CEO of the Reno Phil. “My goal is to share my experiences and best practices in the field to prepare them, and their new President & CEO, when named, for a positive future.”

Hyslop has spearheaded multiple projects throughout his career. He has successfully completed executive searches, strategic planning, feasibility studies and a redevelopment and business planning project for multiple arts organizations across the country. While at the helm of the Minnesota Orchestra and the St. Louis Symphony, he was responsible for the operation of both performing arts halls.
